In the beginning of 2011, ACTION Health set out to improve their task force structure. The previous task forces are now consolidated into one streamlined, efficient group. The new “ACTION Health Task Force” brings together all of our volunteers and agency partners. They will focus on a wide-variety of health topics and populations.

The new ACTION Health Task Force meets monthly on the 1st Friday of each month, from 10:00am – 12:00pm at the First Baptist Church, Danville. The first hour is focused on general task force business, such as upcoming events, program referrals, task force budget updates, and committee reports. In addition, a networking forum is held for task force members to share information about their own agency’s upcoming events. The networking information is then distributed to the entire task force group via email after the meeting.

The second hour of the Task Force meeting branches out into 2 Committees: The Program Committee and Fundraising Committee.

The Program Committee focuses on program development, program delivery, planning of large educational events, and new project development.

The Fundraising Committee helps to plan and implement task force fundraisers, proceeds of which go directly back to the task force to support future community health programs.
